1 Ingredient Banana Ice Cream

This is one of the easiest ice-cream recipes which is Paleo friendly, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, egg-free! This is another 4 ingredient or less recipe! What I love the most about this recipe is it is so adaptable so you can use the basis of this recipe to create whatever flavours you're feeling like!

1 Ingredient Banana Ice Cream

INGREDIENTS

3 large ripe bananas, sweet and soft

Optional additions

Vanilla Chocolate Chip flavoured:
1 vanilla bean scraped for the seeds
1/4 C cacao nibs

Chocolate flavoured:
1/4 C tbsp cacao
1 tbsp honey

Berry flavoured:
1/4 C berries
1 vanilla bean scraped for the seeds

Caramel flavoured:
1/4 C nut butter

LETS MAKE IT

Step one
Take your banana and cut them into rounds. Place them into a ziplock bag and pop them into the freezer. Allow them to freeze overnight or at least 4 hours. 

Step two
Take your bananas out of the freezer and place them in a powerful blender or small food processor (along with berries if using). Blend until a smooth consistency is formed scraping down the sides occasionally. It will go through stages first becoming crumbly, then oozy, then chunky and finally it will become a creamy, soft serve like texture. Add in your optional additions and blend for a few seconds until combined. 

Step three
You can now take your mixture and place in an airtight container to freeze until solid. Place this in the freezer for at least 2 hours and in between serves, just like your normal ice-cream. You can alternative eat it immediately however it will quite soft. 

Step four
Serve with fresh fruit, cacao nibs or crushed nuts. Enjoy!
